Visionary Odyssey was envisioned to attract tourism to underserved areas of South Georgia with Pasaquan, an internationally recognized visionary art environment, being the central attraction. Promoted by the Georgia Commission for Economic Development, Visionary Odyssey involved collaboration from four organizations all of which were inspired in some way by St. Eom and Pasaquan.
The logo was inspired by the physical locations of each organization and how they are interconnected. Although Pasaquan was consider the “central” location, travelers were encouraged to explore the region finding their way to each location. The various paths symbolized in the logo created a unique faceted mark, remarkably similar to a cut gem stone suggesting something precious is to be found on a journey along the Visionary Odyssey.
