Graphic Design 1 // University of Central Oklahoma // Package Me!
Lots of people are excited about the potential of edible insects. A 2013 report from the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization noted that insects like crickets, mealworms, and grasshoppers are nutritional powerhouses, high in protein, fat and essential amino acids.

Students were asked to create a new product that would aim to demystify the act of eating insects as a source of protein. The following projects were created over a two and a half week period. The final photos were taken and submitted by the student.

Packaging Design // Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi
Upon analyzing the successful attributes of existing packaging, each student was tasked with selecting and defending a product whose packaging felt needed to be improved. During an intense three week summer session students explored various conceptual solutions through prototyping, experimentation and trial and error to complete the required project. In addition to the finished artifact students were to present a record of all research, notes, sketches, prototypes, and final photographs in complete process book.
