I AM GOOD AT WHAT I DO.
The focus of my teaching philosophy centers on the practice of sincerity and respect while also providing students with a learner-centered environment. Students are challenged to interpret, record, and reflect as well as design each project. Through interpretation, students are able to find their own voice under preset project criteria. By recording and consequently reflecting on their design process, students are able better understand their decisions and strengthen their ability to offer pointed, reason-backed critiques to their peers. At the close of the semester, students will advance their own creative understanding having further developed the ability to better communicate ideas.
